World Earth Day 2025

Real Action. Global Impact.

To mark World Earth Day 2025, Multilaw is proud to spotlight the ambitious environmental and sustainability initiatives being championed by our member firms around the globe. This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” focuses on the importance of renewable energy and aims to triple global clean electricity generation by 2030. The Earth Day campaign encourages individuals, communities, and organisations to unite behind renewable energy solutions.

From carbon reduction strategies to biodiversity restoration, from green finance to circular economy policies, these contributions are driving meaningful progress both locally and across borders. Below are selected highlights from just some of the firms leading the way.

Abreu Advogados (Portugal)

Abreu Advogados has embedded sustainability into the heart of its operations and is both a UN Global Compact member and a Certified B Corp. From travel options that minimise the emissions of CO2 to energy-efficient headquarters with measurable reductions in paper, plastic, and carbon emissions, their efforts are underpinned by rigorous data reporting using the GHG Protocol methodology. In 2023 alone, Abreu achieved a 13.3% reduction in total emissions and extended its impact through pro bono work supporting the Thirst Project and large-scale employee volunteering campaigns.

Operating in a conflict zone, Arzinger has continued to prioritise sustainability with resilience and purpose. From funding a greenhouse for displaced and neurodiverse children, to supporting a heroic animal shelter and advancing legal frameworks around war-related climate impact, Arzinger's work blends environmental care with urgent humanitarian need. Internally, they have implemented digital-first policies, sustainable procurement, and green gifting practices.
