About Me
Amalia Sáenz joined ZBV in February 2017 as a Partner, and is in charge of the Energy and Natural Resources practice. She graduated as a Lawyer from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1989 and has a Post Graduate degree in Oil & Gas Law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and in Environmental Law from the Universidad Austral.
Her practice covers the full scope of natural resources, including mining, energy and oil and gas, with specific focus on tenders, acquisition of assets and their financing, joint ventures, and operation agreements in addition to exploration contracts, and has advised in International Purchase Offers related to assets located in Argentina.
Amalia is strongly involved in rendering advice on gas regulations and in negotiating contracts with major Argentine gas producers. She has also participated in projects for the construction and expansion of gas pipelines, transportation concessions, pumping plants and energy facilities.
Prior to joining ZBV, Amalia was a partner at Brons & Salas. She is a member of the Board of the Argentine-Russian Business Council and, as a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) she is currently the alternate Regional Director of the AIPN representing the Latin American Chapter.
