Managing Partner of Lakatos, Köves and Partners Péter Lakatos, a leading lawyer in litigation, transactional and regulatory matters, is a seasoned trial lawyer and an expert of regulated sectors. He holds a Degree in Law from the Faculty of Law and Politics at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, and has an LL.M. Degree from George Washington University, USA.
Péter Lakatos played a central role in the telecom market's development, through privatization, and in the market consolidation. He has represented some of the largest telecommunication companies in relation to their activities in Hungary.
Péter advised on Hungary's EU accession process and helped to create the legal framework for the telecom sector in several South-East European countries.
From 2010 to 2013, he chaired the Transparency Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, advocating the development of a more transparent company culture in Hungary.
