About Me
Working his way from a summer trainee to a partner at DPC, Hristo Nihrizov has taken part in some of the most groundbreaking projects in the sectors of telecommunications and banking & finance implemented in the region over the last 15 years.

Hristo is a partner at DPC and leads the Banking& Finance and TMT teams. He has an unmatched track record of pioneering projects requiring not only deep regulatory knowledge but also specific technology competences. Large multinational corporations from various industries rely on Hristo’s expertise in some regulated industries where compliance and restrictions mandate the need of careful structuring and launch of new products, marketing channels and business models. He specializes also in the areas of privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, payment services, technologies and innovations with impressive achievements both in the TMT and the banking areas.

Hristo has co-authored much of the current electronic communications’ regulatory framework of Bulgaria. Together with his team he provided full legal support and advice on a multi-million project for the deployment of the first and only commercial subsea fibre optic cable connecting the EU and the Caucasus region under the Black Sea. He has also advised several game-changing banking projects with serious impact on the payment systems in Bulgaria, among which assessing and curbing the consequences of the biggest bank insolvency in the country’s history.
